Make poster lettering part of the composition
Set a short headline and hierarchy, then inspect spelling, spacing, and output ratio.
Start the guide
Before you begin
Prepare one exact short headline and two or three main colors. This lesson uses the original headline “FORM”; check spelling again after replacing it.
A poster concept with clear hierarchy between lettering and imagery. Small print, dates, and real event details need manual review.
- 01
Start with one short headline
Use one headline, one graphic, and two main colors for the first draft. Long copy is harder to verify. Establish hierarchy before adding information in your later layout workflow.
CHECK THISCheck image model settingsYou can state the poster’s main message in one sentence.
- 02
Specify text and image placement
Replace the headline in the prompt while preserving exact spelling. Place the title above the graphic and choose a supported portrait ratio.
CHECK THISStart a poster conceptOnly the intended headline is requested as visible text.
- 03
Proofread before cropping
Inspect repeated letters, missing characters, and unwanted text at full size. Revise or regenerate spelling errors first; cropping only changes the frame, not letterforms.
CHECK THISAdjust the poster cropThe headline is correct and no letter strokes are clipped.
- 04
Keep a clear master file
Keep the original download before exporting a distribution copy. Check letter edges after converting to PNG or WebP. Avoid JPEG when transparency must be retained.
CHECK THISConvert the delivery formatKeep the master and distribution files separately.
What to check and change
Extra small text appears
Reduce broad poster-style instructions and explicitly request one short headline. If needed, generate a text-free background and add final copy in your own layout software.
The title touches the edge
Request larger margins and preserve every letter in the crop. Lock the aspect ratio when resizing.
